The Opinel Facette is a knife series made in France. It is available in a wide variety of colours. The Opinel Facette dark ash box consists of four table knives with a full tang stainless steel blade and a handle made from natural ash wood. This has a dark brown colour and a slight grain structure with even lines. The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. Sandvik 12C27 steel is a high-quality stainless steel known for its excellent sharpness retention, corrosion resistance and wear-and-tear resistance. It offers a good balance between hardness and toughness, is easy to sharpen and maintains a sharp edge for a long time. This makes it the perfect steel for durable and reliable knives. The blade is firmly attached to the handle by three countersunk nails. According to the manufacturer, these knives are dishwasher-safe. Nonetheless, we recommend cleaning the knife by hand, because the heat and aggressive dishwasher detergents don’t improve the lifespan of any knife.
